Doctor of Darkness 2 - Hot as Fire Reviews

Really enjoying this novel so far. I loved the first book of the series (“Doctor of Darkness 1, Cold as Ice” if you haven’t read it yet, stop reading this and go read that one first… it will explain a lot). There is not as much character background or development, but I don’t mind as I got that in the first book. I suppose it would be a bit of a repeat for those of us that read the first one. This continuation has new issues, somewhat related to the past ones it seems, and some from possibly new threats. Either way, I am again hooked and enjoying what this author is writing, and how they write. Love it! Just finished this book and loved every page! Could not stop reading! Cannot wait to start the next one! But also don’t want the series to end! Thank you Claudia for such a great story!

First book was good thinking the second is going the same way as well! Hopefully it stays good- for the 80! Ms Pohl, Doctor of darkness is a very good book. I have read both book one and two of the doctor of darkness series and it's good. Selena, Dragan, Vlad, Marcus and all the other characters are wonderful characters for these books. It is sad that Victoria and Kynell are casualties are this war but at least they found out who started this war in the first place. Re, it's so sinister makes my mad unhappy and thinking that Earth going to worship him not going to happen. The people of Earth even in this book will not allow that to happen. Keep up the good work Ms Pohl.

I've just finished Dr of Darkness book 2 and, wow, what a roller coaster of a ride that was! There are so many twists and turns in the interwoven stories of war, revenge and love that it almost made me dizzy. The mood flips from blood thirsty to lustful and back again, with just the right amount of detail. But there are few resolutions in this one - the series keeps on going and I can't wait to start book 3.

I enjoyed the first volume and now I'm enjoying this one just as much. I love a good mystery. And with Vlad and his emotions being thrown into the mix it looks like we could have some complications with a bit of a love triangle going on... Hmmm I can't imagine Selena cheating on Dragan tho. Will she decide to become a vampire in the end?? They clearly love each other very much and Vlad is jealous that his good friend has managed to find someone to love him as much as Selena does. It's kinda sweet.

*Doctor of Darkness Part 2* is a gripping continuation that delves deeper into the twisted mind of its enigmatic protagonist. The suspense is relentless, with each chapter unveiling darker secrets and unexpected turns. The author masterfully blends psychological tension with emotional depth, making it hard to put down. Characters evolve in surprising ways, especially the antagonist, whose complexity keeps readers torn between fear and fascination. The way this book ended made me wanna slap this woman! The characters we lost made me wanna choke her! The fact that I have to wait to get some resolution made me want to hunt her down! But I guess that’s the mark of a good book and a telltale sign of being invested in characters. Right now I’m too sad and shocked about those we lost to say anything nicer or more profound than this. And while I know in my heart (and for logic’s sake) the main character will survive, I can’t imagine how devastated she’ll be when she awakens. So I’ll end with, this was a good book and good sequel and I’ll have to wait for the next to see how it all ends.

Very good story. For some reason I'm thinking that things are just getting started as far as problems. I don't understand what would make Selena allow the council to have access for something they can use to control her with. That was a very stupid decision on her part. I have an idea that something is going to happen where she doesn't have a choice about being turned or on who will be the one to turn her. Vlad would be very happy to do it

Part way in this second installment of the series and it is just as action packed as the first. A fresh interpretation of the various mythical races and their various skills and abilities brought into a complete modern day setting. A love story with a triangular element, unrequited love, a small group trying to save the world, but even then an original plot line that keeps this reader coming back for the next chapter again and again and again. And now the wait for Part 3!
