Review after half of the novel

There's a good sequel tension between the 2 main characters, but it feels drawn out with unnecessary parts making it harder to stay focused on. Also it needs an uplift so far there's a lot of crash and burn in the mains mood. Plus there's the unanswered question of how her ex Alexander even managed to get onto the pack grounds without anyone knowing or stopping him. Wolves are very territorial so it's not like he could've just waltzed in on his own.

Most of the story was gripping and I loved the way Scarlett and Lucien bonded and were so good together. I thought that some of the chapters dragged a bit, but I also found it interesting to read the side story of Kathleen towards the end of the book. The last 30 chapters however were difficult to follow because there were so many spelling mistakes and grammatical errors, which spoiled an otherwise good book. It seemed not enough time and attention was given to the last part of the book.

Review after half of the novel

This story has me wanting more. Alexander is like so many men who marry to make themselves look good with no real regard for their wife. Alexander reaps the rewards of her hard work and devotion. When his old flame who threw him aside comes back and looks his way, he plays and justifies himself by blaming it on his wife. It’s her fault he is a cheating slug of a man. I can’t wait to see how the author ultimately takes him to task and his wife comes into her own.

Not bad, but first, I hate these novels that don’t finish. Because this one isn’t, it’s another novel site I will NOT return to! Second, the book wandered over too many issues. It was fun to read, but won’t read from this site again. We either pay more than a normal novel to read or have to watch videos and collect coins, which is a piss off. You guys need to be more like Amazon readers and just charge a nominal fee to read a completed book. So frustrating, one reader lost.

Review after half of the novel

This is one of the best books I’ve read in a while. Keeps my attention. Highly recommended. The characters are amazing. I love to see what Lucien will do next. Will he hold his control or take her at the least expected time. I can’t wait til she rejects that low life. I hope they have a huge and beautiful wedding. Honeymoon on a beautiful tropical island where they can stay on the beach or in bed all day. Whatever wolfs like best. Wink… Wink….

The novel is great but there are a lot of inconsistencies. At the beginning it says that scarlet and Kathleen were best friends and helped contact Lucien for help, but later it says they are strangers. It also said that Lucien abandoned scarlet when they were younger then she got in an arranged marriage with Alexander. Later that is ruled out and it turned into scarlet falling in love with Alexander when she was younger then. Next Lucien invites scarlet to a small gathering of alphas to promote her bill but that storyline is abandoned and it turns into a gala for all alphas. I really like the story but I would love it if these inconsistencies were resolved.

Reads awkward because not edited well. Slows down the story. Plot and subplots are complicated and melodramatic but intriguing, like a soap opera. I keep reading because links between the characters and their conflicts are fascinating. The romantic connection enhances the emotion and adds a contrast to the violence. Layers of conflict - external physical contact, battles and wars, internal struggles, deep emotions, love, self-doubt, and the stress of leadership - intertwine tempting the reader forward. It is plausible to accept the magic and fantasy, but confusing to include the shifts between past and present times with modern transportation and phones but living in medieval settings, riding horses, using swords, using candles. I can’t imagine the costumes. These conflicts confuse the reader and makes transition difficult.

Review after half of the novel

So far, the storyline is very good. However, the author doesn’t seem to be keeping up with her own narrative and continues to repeat scenes from one chapter to another, but incorrectly. Otherwise, the characters are well described and well developed. The storyline is very interesting and different from many of the other books I have read over the years. I am hoping that the story will continue to grow and the ending will be as interesting as the story has been.

Review after half of the novel

Good plot and well written. Not just another trope with the names changed or constantly changing fron chapter to chapter. Needs a little tighter editing to make it follow better. Nice to have stories about strong independent women who are working to better the lives of all women and to provide a safe haven for those who are unable to stand up for themselves in a society that accepts that women remain second class citizens. Interesting that women’s rights still remain a battleground after 60 years of women’s rights .
