Annotation

I died gruesomely and was reborn in another body, the body of a bride in a wedding dress. When the groom walks in, it turns out to be my killer, a werewolf Alpha; Alpha Dante of the Scarlet pack. My new identity was Gina, the first daughter of the Fallen Dove pack’s Alpha. Now was my chance for my second chance at life and for revenge. But I had to go through a contractual marriage with my killer to create an alliance that would save Gina’s pack from a more brutal rogue clan. Who would die for the other to live? ***

Chapter 1: My Gruesome Death.

Carmela’s POV

Someone was tailing me, I felt it. I quickened the pace of my movements as it was getting dark already. My late grandmother’s warning rang loudly in my ear.

“Don’t get eaten by the ones who lurks in the dark.”

I scoffed inwards at the thought of that, not in this modern world such exists. I had spent too much time at my friends' party which wasn’t my usual way.

I could swear someone had been stalking me for sometime now but it didn’t matter. I have been experiencing this for over a decade now since I entered puberty.

The boys in the school and street praised my beauty and s*xy body. Somehow I was used to the compliments and also the downside of having many eyes set on me. But despite all of it, I found it difficult to get myself a boyfriend.

“Carmela! Carmela!”

A strange voice spoke into my head, I shook off the feeling that it brought. I turned into the alley leading to my street, I was getting close to my house. The voice intensified but I shook it off, I was getting really sleepy, probably overthinking the situation.

Suddenly, it happened, very quickly.

A slash on my throat!

I gargled and my face paled from the realization of what had just happened to me. I held my throat trying to stop the bleeding, I was already going down on my back when I landed on an open palm.

All I saw was a furrowed thick brow, my vision was starting to get blurry but i could still make out the features of my killer. I could see his intimidating canine sticking out of his mouth and his sharp nails on my back.

I closed my eyes waiting for him to s*ck my blood, but he didn’t, he just stared down at me, his prey. His ocean blue eyes boring into my dimming amber eyes. Something was certain,

I am dying! And this monster had just gut me in cold blood.

Every good thing in my life that I cherished surfaced in my mind, my happy childhood memories, loving parents, siblings, and friends. Everything I would be leaving behind, regret filled up my mind, I shouldn’t have stayed out late.

I know a little about werewolves, grandmother was obsessed with them, if I hadn’t just been gutted by one. I wouldn’t have believed it myself, the creatures of the night, half human and half wolves.

They do not eat stale meat, I knew I definitely must taste great since I am stunning.

What the heck was I thinking on my deathbed?

I hadn’t even had my first kiss yet, I was still contemplating ticking that box on my graduation party. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t be graduating after all.

My blurry vision became more blurry, I couldn’t focus anymore, I didn’t see his face anymore but I could hear a barely audible sound of his deep growl. I gave in to fate at about the same time I felt my body falling downward,

Thump!

I felt my body hit the cold floor, my predator had dropped my carcass.

Suddenly, I felt like the universe shifted beneath me and the cold floor turned soft and warm. My eyes flung open and a white ceiling graced my view,

Thank goodness! It was merely a nightmare!

Was it a nightmare as the ceiling didn’t look familiar?

I jumped up suddenly, the soft bed I had slept on shook off my weight. I covered my mouth with the back of my hand. Nothing about this room looks familiar, and something else seems out of place.

The whole of me!

I tried to move around to get wind of what the heck was happening when I slipped on my dress and fell on my butt.

I cursed inwardly at my own sluggishness. When I stood up, something baffled me more, I was dressed in a white ball wedding gown,

Was this some kind of a joke or am I truly dead?

The door flung open and someone walked in, from my sitting position, my jaw dropped at the sight before me.

I shivered slightly but my body wouldn’t follow my heart’s warning. It kept warning me to run but I couldn’t move. A cold menacing voice echoed through my eardrum.

“Since you are done with your pretense, are you ready for the vows now Gina?”

Gina? That isn’t my name. But that was the least baffling. I had more pressing concerns. I got off my butt and sped to the end of the room panting hard.

I tried to put as much distance between myself and this man. The fresh memory of having him sl*t my throat surfaced in my head. I had no idea what was going on here but I wasn’t going to die defenseless.

I stole a glance at my left hoping to get hold of a weapon lying around, instead, my eyes caught something else. My own reflection in the mirror.

I opened my mouth in awe, leaving behind my fear of the unknown cold killer. I focused my attention on the mirror touching my face to be certain I hadn’t been mistaken.

I didn’t look like me at all, I looked older, shorter, a little less curvier and the face, oh my goodness,

What happened to my oblong cute face!

“Gina, this game is over, the marriage has to be sealed now or your father can start preparing for war.”

War! Marriage!

Everything sounded so confusing and I stared bluntly at this man, he didn’t seem interested in me or Gina whosoever. I have no idea what exactly all these mean but certainly, I am the bewildered one here.

“What date and time are we in?”

He gave me a weird look before responding to me and now I had to let in a deep breath to make sense of the situation.

Now here is the highlight I gathered,

He slithered my throat three years ago, I ended up in a new body and now- i am getting married to the same monster that killed me.

Chapter 2: Wedded To My Killer.

Location: New Orleans (Scarlet Pack house).

Carmela’s POV

“Gina, take it and puncture your skin.”

A red haired lady said with clenched teeth behind me. As I had deduced, she was meant to be my bride’s maid. I raised a suspicious brow.

I had seen earlier when my groom had slightly punctured his thumb with a small needle but I couldn’t bring myself to do the same. I had always hated needles and moreover, wedding vows weren’t supposed to lead to blood drawings.

I had grown to watch my distant aunts getting married in the church, it had always even given room for disagreeing with the marriage but here I am being forced to draw out blood instead of getting a ring on.

I was still trying to retain my stubbornness when I felt my groom drag out my left hand and puncture my thumb “ouch!” I cried out in annoyance but no one seemed concerned. He held my wrist and brought his thumb to mine, I tried to pull away but his voice stopped me,

“You remember wha
